car crash is no excuse for not paying rent, right?

My renter just text me and said he was in a car crash yesterday due to the bad weather and he's hurt and his car in the shop so he can't go to work. The rent wasn't paid. I told him that's not mt problem. Can i evict him? He hasn't been a great renter so this is an opportunity, but i want dec rent.
