Noise complaint

#1 Unread post by Mag2018 » March 16th, 2019, 9:57 am

I rent my basement apartment and my tenant is complaining that we make too much noise. He wants absolutely no noise between 12 am to 10 am. Unfortunately, my family wakes up early around 6 am to get ready for work and school and have to use our kitchen and obviously make some noise with the blender, toaster, steps etc. the kids usually run around to get their lunches, etc. what is your advise? can the tenant sue me for noise? is there any bylaw about timing for noise with respect to normal daily living activities?
